The actress who first played the role of Janine Butcher in EastEnders is now a hot shot Google executive.
Rebecca Michael appeared on screens as Janine in 1989 through to 1993.
Her footsteps were later followed by Alexia Demetriou until 1996 before Charlie Brooks took over the character of older Janine in 1999.
Now Rebecca is in a completely different role as the director of global marketing at Google Search and augmented reality, according to her professional LinkedIn profile.
She's approximately 5,000 miles away from Walford, located in California.
The star began her early career in acting as a youngster.
Rebecca has since flourished into a completely different industry after landing herself a job at one of the world's biggest tech companies.
She has been working at Google for 12 years, successfully building her way up to higher roles in the business.
The former actress started as an associate industry manager and she has an impressive CV.
It may come as a surprise to some but her career change has been publicly known for years.
Janine's final appearance on the BBC soap was in 2014 which was played out by Charlie.
The villainous character was not killed off which means she could always return in the future.
Charlie, 39, previously teased a return for Janine on Loose Women in July 2019.
She said: "I could potentially [return] – I always say the same answer, never say never. She's in France swanning it up with Scarlett."
She added to Heart Breakfast: "I always say, 'Never say never'."
Since quitting the soap, Charlie underwent a career change herself.
On Instagram last year, the actress revealed she is part of a new business venture called iampro.
