Drew Barrymore and Tom Green reunited for the first time in fifteen years this week, and they hit it off almost immediately, a new report from Page Six revealed today. The outlet says that the 45-year-old actress teared up as she spoke with Green for the first time in years while on the set of The Drew Barrymore Show.
Tom Green says to her after meeting up that he was so happy to speak with her again because it had been so long; they hadn’t spoken to each other in over a decade.
In 2001, Tom and Drew got married but they split up after a year. They first met when she reached out to him for an appearance in Charlie Angels. Green said he and Drew hit it off almost immediately, and they soon began dating.
During an interview with reporters from Entertainment Tonight, Barrymore also reflected on what it was like to meet with Tom again after so many years. She said it wasn’t for “TV and TV sensationalism,” it was a very real and emotional thing with a lot of meaning behind it.
These days, Barrymore and Green are a lot more mature than they used to be. “We were just kids,” Barrymore explained, before going on to say that she and Green have both lived so much of life and now it’s “wild to reconnect.”
Fans of the actress know that Green was her second husband. She was also in a relationship with Jeremy Thomas from 1994 until 1995 and Will Kopelman from 2012 until 2016.
There’s no question that Barrymore has had a complicated love life. In addition to her several marriages, the star recently admitted that she hasn’t had one date since her divorce from Kopelman in 2015. Amid her conversation with Jane Fonda, Barrymore explained why.
The actress claimed she just didn’t have the time for it anymore, although, that doesn’t mean she’s not interested in finding the right man. These days, it’s not clear who Drew is seeing but some sources have claimed there is a man behind the scenes.
