Doja Cat has revealed that she contracted COVID-19 but has made a full recovery after a four day ordeal.

The 24-year-old American rapper, who previously said 'she didn't give a f***' about the pandemic, didn't say when she came down with the virus but speculated that she had contracted it through a food delivery service.

Speaking to Capital XTRA, the musician explained that she had a 'freakout' of symptoms that lasted four days.

“I got COVID," Doja Cat, whose real name is Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini, said.

"Honestly, I don’t know how this happens, but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates and I don’t know how I got it, but I got it.”

The songstress added: “I’m okay now. It was a four-day symptom freakout, but I’m fine now.”

Doja Cat also failed to mention during her conversation with Yinka and Shayna Marie whether she had actually been tested for the virus or just showed symptoms.

A representative for the musician has been contacted for comment.

At the start of the pandemic, Doja Cat actually downplayed the seriousness of coronavirus during an appearance on Instagram Live.

In her video, the Say So musician appeared to mock people that were fearful of the deadly virus.

"B****, I’m not scared of a coronavirus or the motherf****** beer version of that s***,” Doja Cat said at the time.

In the live stream, that aired in March, Doja Cat swept her pink hair into two buns and donned a full face of makeup as she spoke to her fans.

"I’m gonna get corona and then I’m gonna get a Corona cos I don’t give a f*** about corona, b****. It’s a flu. I’m not scared. Y’all are p****.”

She continued: "You just take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep — that’s all you gotta do. Y’all are so scared of some damn corona. Y’all are so scared of corona that I need a Corona.”

The United States, where Doja Cat is from, currently ranks highest in the world for confirmed coronavirus cases and has seen statistics rise dramatically after states began to re-open prematurely.

According to the latest statistics a total of 149,000 US citizens have died because of the virus.
