After three years abscence, his character Todd Grimshaw returned to the soap on Friday night with actor Gareth Pierce taking on the role.
Over the last few weeks viewers have seen Billy and Sean desperately try and track Todd down.
In last night's episode, Todd was finally reunited with mum Eileen where he explained that he'd got into trouble with a man named Mick.
Speaking ahead of his debut on the soap, Gareth told the Mirror : "I think it is an accepted convention on soaps now, so I can definitely take confidence from that. I can see how it might be daunting, but me, I’ve tried to flip that into a great advantage, really, because you’re stepping into something where there’s already 16 plus years of complex backstory of really complicated and nuanced relationships with all of these characters, with Sue that plays Eileen, with Dan that plays Billy.
“Actually, we’re quite used as actors to fast-forwarding relationships, really. You’re very often going to be meeting someone in the morning and then at lunchtime you’re playing mother/son, you’re playing lovers, you’re playing father/daughter.
