Denise Welch shows off age-defying body in plunging snake-print swimsuit

Loose Women star Denise Welch stripped down to her swimwear to inspire older women to not shy away from showing off their bodies

Denise Welch has proven that age is just a number by showcasing her incredible figure while on holiday.

The Loose Women, 62, star is currently taking a break to catch a tan on the sunny island of Malta.

On Thursday, she left her 137,000 Instagram followers gasping after she stripped down to some sassy swimwear to show off her age-defying physique.

Denise oozed elegance and sex-appeal as she confidently posed in the daring snake-print cossie by the poolside.

The telly star's plunging and rather eye-catching swimsuit accentuated her killer curves and hourglass figure perfectly.

Proving that she's a creature of habit, Denise glammed up her poolside ensemble by adding a slick of red lipstick to make her overall look pop.

Alongside her latest offering on Instagram, the former Coronation Street actress shared an inspiring message for older women.

Denise encouraged the 'old birds' to not shy away from hiding their bodies as she declared that age is just a number.

Her empowering caption read: "At last!! Sun on me bones!! Sorry peeps it’s the old birds in bikinis time. Be prepared!

"Don’t live in fear of anything! Grab every opportunity. Age is just a number."

The stunning star's swimsuit snap was met with much admiration from adoring fans who flocked to gush over her latest look.

"Simply stunning. You are honestly the biggest bombshell there is!" gushed one follower.

"I hope I look this bloody hot when I'm this age. She is out of this world hot!" a second echoed.

A third gobsmacked admirer commented: "Oh my god! Yes girl you flaunt that sexy body. Look at you!".

Meanwhile, another fan thanked Denise for sharing the empowering message.

The emotional follower shared: "You don't know how much this caption means to me. I am a woman around your age and I simply dread the thought of people seeing me in a bikini. But you have changed that now, so thank you. You're so beautiful Denise."

Denise's sexy swimwear snap comes after she insisted that her son's i ndie band the 1975 would not exist if it wasn't for her mental health issues.

During her battle with depression, Denise turned to alcohol to help her deal with the difficulties in her life.

The telly star, who is mum to the band's frontman Matty Healy, joked that he wouldn't have had the material to write award-winning songs if it hadn't been for their 'rocky' household.
