Crysis Remastered Is Releasing September 18th On The Xbox One, PC, And PS4

When Crysis Remastered was first teased, it got many in the gaming community excited. The original Crysis that released in 2007 was a huge hit, particularly because of its amazing graphical designs.

Not many first-person shooters at the time had as much detail that was jam-packed into Crysis. It was an extraordinary feat for Crytek, who went on to make two successful follow-ups that were equally as impressive from a visual standpoint.

The last in the series — Crysis 3 — released in 2013. It has thus been quite a while since this franchise showed signs of life. Then there were rumblings of a possible remastered version of the original Crysis, a rumor that began to grow legs as time went on.

The idea of better graphics and performance in a game that already nailed these aspects really got fans buzzing about what was in store. Fortunately, these rumors turned out being true. Fans of this beautiful and iconic first-person shooter can now get it on the Nintendo Switch for $29.99. Considering the enhancements and price, that’s not too bad of a deal.

But what about other consoles that were promised this highly anticipated remaster as well? The game unfortunately faced a setback after first glimpses of gameplay and screenshots were accidentally leaked. Fans didn’t receive them all too well, which sent Crytek and Saber Interactive back to the drawing board.

Fortunately, the delay isn’t that long. Now Crysis Remastered is set to come out September 18, 2020 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be available through the Epic Games Store for PC players.

When this remastered version does launch, it appears fans have a lot to look forward to. These include motion blur, ray tracing, innovative depth fields, and 8K resolution. This project may have stumbled a bit, but it looks like the developers are keen on making up for the disappointment that Crysis’ loyal fans had.

If you have yet to check out this incredibly fun and addicting shooter, September 18th may be the perfect time. It will be the pinnacle experience for a game that already has so many things going for it, even for today’s standards.

And for those that already have played through its entirety, there are still reasons to come back. Seeing the textures, lighting, and innovative ray tracing that now will be available certainly seems like worth the price of admission. Let’s just hope the rest of development goes smoothly.
