Charlotte Crosby has shared heartbreaking details about the devastating ectopic pregnancy she experienced in 2016.

The former Geordie Shore star, 30, lifted the lid on the ‘life changing’ ordeal during her special episode of the MTV series’ spin-off show Geordie Shore: Their Story.

The reality TV star broke down into tears as she revealed she ‘could have died’ following the health scare.

Charlotte suffered through the ectopic pregnancy – which occurs when a fetus begins to develop outside of the womb – after her split from co-star and on-off boyfriend Gary Beadle.

During his stint on EX On The Beach, following their breakup, she discovered that she had fallen pregnant by Gary before learning that she was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy.

Reliving the devastating time, Charlotte admitted that she thought she was going to die.

She told: “The gynecologist said, 'what's happening to your body now is you're having an ectopic pregnancy where the egg gets trapped in the fallopian tube and actually just starts to grow there until it can't grow no more'.

“And I was literally on the verge of dying, if I'd left it any longer, I just wouldn't be here."

The bubbly reality star revealed that aftermath of her health scare when she said that she bled for a week straight.

Charlotte fought back the tears as she explained: “My fallopian tube had split open and I'd been internally bleeding for the last week and then I got rushed into surgery.

"I came around from the operation and the gynecologist came in and told us that I had, had my right fallopian tube and ovary taken away. And straight away I just thought, 'f**k I'm not gonna be able to have kids, like, this is awful.”

After the horrific ordeal, Charlotte revealed that she battled depression following the trauma of losing her baby and splitting up with Gary.

The brave star previously described 2016 as ‘the worst year’ of her life.
