Claudia Winkleman has told how she has such a phobia of water she will not kiss or sleep with her husband if he has just drunk a glass.
The Strictly host made the bizarre confession on a podcast She said: “I don’t like or believe in water, I won’t have it......I’ve never knowingly had water, I don’t like it.”
She added on Off The Menu: ““When people drink it, like my husband drinks great amounts of water, and I really like him but it’s problematic.
"He’s glugging, don’t touch me, ‘take your bra off’......I don’t think so.”
Referring to her hatred of water still further, she added: “Imagine you’re on a date - I’ve been with the same man for 100 years …..and he’s sitting there and he’s like, ‘I don’t know what to have, what are you going to have? Maybe we should have the same thing.’
"And someone comes round and says, ‘Would you like some water?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, sure.’
"And they give him a pint glass of water and he drinks the whole thing. Are you going to want to kiss this man or more? No!
"A wet mouth with a big fleshy tongue that is covered in liquid.”
Going further, she adds: “I want a dry, shrivelled up little man, I want to sleep with Mr. Burns, he doesn’t drink water, I want him at the table. just don’t like liquid, I don’t like wine, there’s all kinds of stuff, is this too weird?”
Claudia, 48, married film producer Kris back in 2000, and they share three children -Jake, 17, Matilda, 14, and Arthur, nine -together.
After marking their 20th wedding anniversary easier this year, Claudia recently opened up about how she realised that Kris was the one for her.
She revealed that Kris made her “head shoot off her shoulders” when they first started dating each other.
Claudia also opened up about Kris’ kind nature and manners, adding: “What did it for me was how he behaved in restaurants, bars and planes – indeed,
simply around people.
“’Thanks so much’, ‘no rush’, ‘I’ll carry it over for you’, ‘here, have a drink on us’.
