Christina Aguilera has been forced to pull the plug on her November Las Vegas comeback.

She was due to return to the stage in two months' time but has now decided to cancel the shows.

Sin City has been deserted since the pandemic hit and now the 39-year-old has announced she won't be performing.

She took to Instagram to announce she can't be at Planet Hollywood as she had hoped - but told fans it will happen soon.

"While nothing would make me happier than meeting you all back at Zappos Theatre for #TheXperience Las Vegas, we all have to continue doing our part & acting responsibly," she said on the platform.

"Everyone's health and safety is our top priority, so my Las Vegas residency performances scheduled for this November are cancelled.

"I apologize for any inconvenience to ticket holders, there is nowhere I’d rather be than up on stage performing for all of you, but we will just have to be patient."

The Dirty hitmaker was scheduled to perform on November 11, 13, 14, 18, 20 and 21.

She added that all tickets will be refunded within 30 days.⁣

Christina began her money-spinning residency in May of 2019 and the shows got the thumbs up from music critics.

When she agreed to the gigs, she called Vegas a "mind-blowing adult playground."

The star said it would be her most ambitious show ever - but remains dedicated to finishing her tour.

The Grammy winner said before the start of her residency: "For years I have been collecting ideas and concepts that have yet to be implemented on my stages, and Las Vegas is the perfect opportunity for me to collectively showcase my artistry."

She hopes to return to the stage in 2021.
