Chrissy Teigen says she's currently in a "transformative period" in her life after tragically losing her son at birth.

The former model, 35, and husband John Legend, 41, revealed in an emotional statement in October that the pair had lost their son Jack.

And even though they're still navigating their way through the tragedy, Chrissy admits she's finally starting to remember joy.

After receiving flowers from friends on her 35th birthday, Chrissy said: "I’m just sitting at my office, listening to music and so, so content and happy…thinking.

"I received these birthday flowers a week ago and I don’t know if she knows how much the beauty of these, looking at these every day, spiralled into thinking about how transformative a period it was, the days surrounding 35."

She went on: "I woke up. The intense grief and physical pain was gone. My brain was back and my bonessssss, I’m telling you, my bones came back.

"I will never forget this period in time and these flowers, I want to make them forever remembered as puuuuuure joy and love I want to just…share.

"It has to be made into something, something. A cuff where every time I reach for something I can remember joy."

She added: "To remember this joy and all the…the crazy. I dunno. A vibe. Also I am not high!! I am sober. Just thinking. Lol. Love you guys."

Last month, Chrissy and John opened up about the "emptiness" they felt as they grieved for their son.

Appearing on Good Morning America, John revealed that he was initially "worried" about sharing the intimate pictures with the world, however now thinks it's a way for the pair to carry on Jack's memory.

John said: "[Chrissy] felt like really, that one of the ways we would carry on Jack’s memory was taking pictures of that moment. I was worried, I was like, 'I don’t want to like commemorate this pain'.

"But the crazy thing about having a miscarriage, is you don’t walk away with anything you have this emptiness.

"And we wanted to take the photos so that we had something to remember."

Chrissy opened up about the grief she went through, admitting: "I definitely give myself permission to feel complete and utter grief."

Chrissy added: "Every day is so different, so when people ask me how I’m doing, I always say, 'I’m okay, today'."

She added: "Obviously it’s so painful to go through something like this, as a woman – something that was inside your body that you were nurturing and taking care of."

The pair admitted that although they were forced to go through the most painful days of their life, their daughter Luna, four, and son Miles, two, have helped them come out a stronger family.
