The cast of RuPaul's Drag Race have sent emotional tributes to their co-star Chi Chi DeVayne following her tragic death.

Drag queen Chi Chi, whose non-stage name was Zavion Davenport, died aged 34 after a battle with pneumonia.

She was rushed to hospital to seek treatment for the chronic condition last week, and news of her passing was announced on Thursday.

Now tributes for the popular star have flooded in on social media from her grieving co-stars.

Heartbroken Bob The Drag Queen shared a highlight reel of her best memories with Chi Chi.

Snaps on her Instagram Story showed the pair backstage of the show, looking super happy to be in each other's company.

Bob also shared photos of Chi Chi by herself, admiring the star's incredible beauty.

She simply shared a black heart next to the snap, while fans shared their tributes.

Chi Chi's fellow co-star Kim Chi shared: "RIP this sweet angel."

The star shared a gorgeous selfie with Chi Chi, who looked jaw-dropping in a blue wig and full-glam make-up.

Naomi Smalls also joined in with tributes to the late star.

She wrote: "Thank you so much for all the love, memories, and constant belly laughs.

"You will forever hold a special place in everybody’s heart. Rest In Power Chi Chi DeVayne."

Alongside her tribute were two throwback snaps of Chi Chi looking red-carpet ready in a beautiful gown.

Meanwhile, Trixie Mattel wrote: "Love you forvever!" alongside a photo with Chi Chi.

She also added on Twitter : "An iconic queen literally everyone in our industry will always love."

Drag Race icon Shangela rounded off the tributes.

She posted a photo of the pair singing on stage, looking as glam as ever.

"Our @chichidevayneofficial You were an Angel here on Earth," Shangela wrote.

"And you will forever be an Angel in my heart. So young and you fought to the very end, sister.

"I don't know what more to say ... you spread so much JOY. Everyone please don't take this life for granted and remember to say I love you."

Chi Chi's unexpected death was announced on Thursday.

In the weeks before she died, Chi Chi was admitted to hospital in July for suspected kidney failure.

The star lived with scleroderma, a condition in which the body's immune system attacks organs, blood vessels and tissues.

On August 15, Chi Chi took to Instagram to tell fans that she was back in the hospital, asked everyone to pray for her and said: "I'll be back soon."

After the tragedy RuPaul, the founder of the show, broke his silence on her death.

"I am heartbroken to learn of the passing of Chi Chi DeVayne. I am so grateful that we got to experience her kind and beautiful soul," he shared.

"She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. May her generous and loving spirit shine down on us all.

"On behalf of VH1, World of Wonder and the cast and crew of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ I extend my deepest sympathy - from our family to hers."
