It's ten years today since Cheryl Tweedy and Ashley Cole officially drew a line under their marriage and their divorce was finalised.
The nation's sweetheart had been married to the Chelsea player for four years, but their time together was dogged by a string of scandalous rumours that led to their heartbreaking split.
Their romance came to an official end on September 3, 2010, with the pop star allegedly saying: “Thank God the nightmare is over.”
So what actually happened between the love birds and where did it all go wrong?
Having shot to fame with her band Girls Aloud, Cheryl met the footballer ace in 2004 before going public with their relationship at the end of that year.
The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Wrotham Park in July 2006 and Cheryl even got a tattoo on her neck to mark her commitment to Ashley.
Less than two years later, Cheryl's relationship was rocked by Ashley's first alleged hook-up with hairdresser Aimee Walton.
In the explosive revelations, the footballer was said to be so drunk that he threw up during their tryst before Walton went public with their romp.
Writing about the moment she learned about his cheating, Cheryl wrote in her explosive memoir: "'I hope you enjoyed it!' I screamed. 'I hope she was worth it! It’s the end of your marriage!
"'You don’t understand what you’ve done. It’s f***ed!' After hours of me ranting, screaming and crying uncontrollably, I was exhausted."
Months after Ashley's unfaithfulness had been exposed, the couple tried to put it behind them and move on with their marriage.
At the start of 2010, however, their marriage took another battering after it was revealed that Ashley had allegedly cheated on Cheryl with four more women.
More allegations surfaced that Ashley had tried to cover up his romps, including claims by model who said the footballer gave her £10,000 to keep quiet.
In February, Cheryl announced her split from her love-rat husband after topless pictures of him emerged on a glamour model Sonia Wild's mobile phone.
By September 2010, their quickie divorce was finalised after the former couple struck a deal over their property, money and other assets.
However, the heartbreak of her partner's unfaithful ways wasn't over for Cheryl as her next relationship also came crashing down years later.
Following her split from Ashley, Cheryl went on to marry Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini between the years of 2014 and 2016.
Their divorce in 2016 came as a surprise, but she remained quiet about parting ways with the restaurant owner until years later.
She then went on to date One Direction's Liam Payne and welcomed son Bear with the singer.
Speaking about her relationships in 2018, Cheryl said Liam "is the only man who has ever been faithful" to her.
Since her string of failed relationships, Cheryl has thrown all of her energy into co-parenting with Liam and raising her son Bear.
In the meantime, the doting mum has remained tight-lipped about her love life.
