Former EastEnders star Charlie Brooks is reportedly launching her own sex toy range.

The telly star, who played villainous Janine Butcher on the BBC soap, has also named one 'The Butcher' in a nod to her former character, it's claimed.

The 39-year-old actress is set to release the premium sex toys after launching her new company Crazy Curiosity Ltd, according to The Sun.

She was reportedly approached by lingerie specialist Ann Summers to bring out her own range of rubber creations in 2021.

"Charlie feels there's a real gap in the market for some sexy yet affordable toys," a source told the publication.

"She's signed a deal and is really excited to branch out into a whole new area."

The source added: "Each toy will have a different name, and one option mooted was The Butcher after her EastEnders character. But Charlie worries The Butcher might not appeal to women hoping to find solo pleasure - it doesn't really shout 'sexy'."

Charlie is set to follow in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow, who launched a candle which smelled like her vagina, in a bid to make a name for herself.

The mum-of-one left Albert Square in 2014 after 21 successful years of playing Janine on the soap.

Since leaving the show, the star went on to win Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas special in 2011 and the following year was crowned Queen of the Jungle in I'm A Celebrity.

She recently recreated the iconic EastEnders scene where she killed her on-screen husband Barry Evans, acting it out with her 15-year-old daughter Kiki.

The star slipped back into character as her and Kiki played out the famous scene.

They recreated the moment Charlie murdered her new husband by pushing him off a cliff in January 2004.

The scene - which had EastEnders viewers gripped at the time - saw Janine break Barry's heart after revealing she never loved him and only married him for the money.

The clip ended with Barry's death after they struggled and he fell, with Janine watching over him as he died rather than getting help.

Despite the scene airing 16 years ago, Charlie remembered every word as she lip-synced the audio.

Mirror Online has contacted Charlie's representative for comment.
