As a result, Black Panther 2, which will, once again, be both directed and written by Ryan Coogler, will not feature the main character anymore!

As per Disney’s tweet, its Marvel Studios branch ‘will not recast the character, but it will explore the world of Wakanda and the rich characters introduced in the first film.’

Furthermore, earlier today during Disney’s Investor Day, Marvel president Kevin Feige shared with the viewers that he ‘wanted to acknowledge the devastating loss of such a dear friend. Chadwick Boseman was just an immensely talented actor and inspirational individual who affected all of our lives professionally as well as personally. His portrayal of T’Challa is iconic and it transcends iteration of this character in any other medium from Marvel’s past.’
