Carole Baskin has broken down in tears as she opened up about how Tiger King "affected her life."
The 59-year-old, who has been described as an animal activist during her appearance on US equivalent to Strictly, Dancing With The Stars.
While appearing on the ABC show is one of the highlights of her life since being propelled into the public eye, Baskin was tearful when recalling how Netflix docuseries, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, has changed her.
Speaking in a teaser for the dance show, she is seen telling her dance partner Pasha Pashkov that after facing so much criticism on social media, "I keep it inside. That is the absolute worst of this."
Baskin runs Big Cat Rescue in Florida and the Netflix series focused on her bitter rivalry with Joe Exotic, whoe real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, who ran a rival exotic animal park in Oklahoma.
He also plotted to have Baskin killed as he became obsessed with her and is now serving time in prison for paying a hitman to shoot her.
Baskin has been subjected to a horrific trolling on social media after the Netflix show looked into the disappearance of Don Lewis, who was the a 60-year-old millionaire and animal sanctuary owner and Baskin's husband at the time.
Don's family is still looking for information that could help them find out what happened when he disappeared in 1997 and they took out an advert during the DWTS season premiere.
The advert, titled 'Justice for Don Lewis' saw the family and their lawyer, John M Phillips, offer a $100,000 reward for information about the whereabouts of Lewis.
Lewis' family has long suspected that Don's disappearance was orchestrated by Baskin and Joe Exotic her of disposing of his body by feeding it to her big cats, in Tiger King.
She has long denied these rumours and police have said that she is "not a suspect at this time. We don’t have any evidence to even call her a person of interest."
Baskin recently hit out at the Netflix show, telling People that she was "not at all the person I was portrayed in Tiger King."
She continued: "I am not the money grubbing, gold-digging, murderous person that they portrayed.
"I am the type of person who will come after any person who is abusing animals. I am relentless. I just won’t stop until I find some legal way to make it stop.
"From that perspective, I think they got me right. Me as a person, that was a total assassination of my character for nothing other than whatever money they could get for selling that to Netflix.”
