Cardi B's husband Offset live streams himself being 'detained by police' at Trump march
Cardi B's husband Offset took to social media to live stream his conversation with police officers following a run-in with a large group of Trump supporters. The rapper was subsequently pictured in handcuffs
Cardi B's husband Offset live-steamed himself appearing to be detained by police on Saturday close to a march by Donald Trump supporters.
The 28-year-old rapper recorded his run-in with the Los Angeles police officers as they tried to get the musician, who was later pictured in handcuffs, to step out of his car.
In the footage, a police officer appears to suggest that there had been reports of men "waving guns at people".
Offset then responded that one of the Trump supporters had hit his car with a flag before he was pulled over by police.
Police have confirmed that Offset was not arrested, with TMZ reporting that he was detained and later released without charge, and there is no suggestion that he was involved in any wrongdoing.
At the time, Offset had been travelling through Beverly Hills while a large group of Trump supporters carrying flags and wearing masks were marching through the area.
Offset's wife, Cardi B, also recorded herself driving through Los Angeles and explained on her Instagram that she was "scared" by the Trump supporters.

In the footage, Offset is sitting in his car when the officers demand that he turn off the engine and step out.
Offset says that the officers have guns pointed at him and he refuses to take his hand off the wheel.
He then says to the officers: 'I'm a f****** celebrity, do you know who I am? I'm Offset from Migos'.
He added: "You told me to put my hands up, I'm not doing that.
"There's 25,000 people on my livestream. You're gonna get sued publicly."
Another officer attempts to open Offset's door and then the footage promptly ends as he steps out of the vehicle.
Other clips from bystanders in Beverly Hills then show Offset stood in handcuffs while surrounded by police.
The entire ordeal was rapidly spread around on social media as supporters called to "free Offset."
"On 10/24/2020, at approximately 5:02pm Beverly Hills Police received information from a passerby of a subject who pointed a weapon from a vehicle at him; in the area of South Santa Monica BLVd and N. Beverly Drive," a statement read.
"The passerby provided a license plate to the vehicle, and the vehicle was stopped by patrol units a short distance away. After the on scene investigation, the passenger in the vehicle was arrested.
"The victim of the crime did not desire to press charges for the pointing of the weapon."
The statement then names Marcelo Almanzar, 20, as being arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public.
"There have been media reports that entertainer Offset was arrested. Those reports are inaccurate," the statement concludes.
A representative for Offset and Cardi B as well as the LAPD have been contacted for comment.
