The songstress has recently been subject to a trending hashtag after a fan launched a campaign called #FreeBritney in a bid to end her conservatorship.

Britney has not been in control of her financial affairs since 2008 under the rules of her current consevatorship.

It meant that her dad James 'Jamie' Spears had an oversight of all of Britney's assets and was responsible for making decisions on her behalf.

The singer's conservatorship was then transferred over Jodi Montgomery, who will handle Britney's affairs until at least August 22, 2020.

Despite concerns about her wellbeing, fans are keen to see Britney assume control of her finances off the back of the #FreeBritney movement
