Britney Spears 'allowed to see sons' by ex Kevin Federline despite #FreeBritney row

Pop princess Britney Spears has been the focus of a fan movement calling to #FreeBritney as her controversial conservatorship remains intact

Pop icon Britney Spears is reportedly still allowed to see her children without resistance from their dad Kevin Federline.

The Womanizer singer, 38, remains the focus of a fan campaign to #FreeBritney from the constraints placed on her by her conservatorship.

The singer has not been in complete control of her finances and important life decisions since 2008, with conservators including her father James 'Jamie' Spears and temporary conservator Jodi Montgomery, who is now in charge of handling her personal affairs until at least August 22, 2020, according to court documents seen by ET.

Britney has two sons from her marriage to ex-husband Kevin Federline: 14-year-old Sean and 13-year-old Jayden.

According to sources speaking to TMZ, Britney is allowed to see her two sons and have them stay with her without resistance from their father.

They report that Kevin has never felt Britney was a risk to their children and has not pushed back against her contact with them.

The boys are said to spend 30 per cent of their time with her at her home.

TMZ suggests that Kevin is not interested in the controversy surrounding her conservatorship and is instead carrying on with his arrangement with Britney.

Mirror Online has reached out representatives of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline for comment.

The report regarding Britney's access to her children comes after her brother Bryan Spears spoke out on her conservatorship.

Bryan told the As Not Seen on TV podcast: "She’s always wanted to get out of [the conservatorship]."

However, Bryan went on to claim that the conservatorship has been a positive thing for the family.

He added: "I am aware that fans feel like maybe she’s being confined or held against her will in some capacity, but I can't really speak for them.

"The contract has been a great thing for our family, to this point, and we keep hoping for the best."

Despite Bryan's statement, many of Britney's fans were not impressed with his words and quickly took to Twitter to slam his words on the issue.

The criticism comes after a letter apparently from Britney herself emerged where she appeared to slam both the conservatorship and Kevin Federline.
