Boddy Shmurda Won’t Get Out Of Prison Until 2021 – He Was Denied Parole

As it turns out, Bobby Shmurda won’t be getting out of prison early, after all, Hot New Hip Hop reported today. Earlier in the year, it was rumored repeatedly that Bobby would be getting out of prison probably months in advance.

Shmurda’s family members released all kinds of promising statements on the matter, and his parole hearing initially offered good news. Everything seemed to be on the up and up for Mr. Shmurda but unfortunately for the rapper, he learned today he wouldn’t be getting out anytime soon.

TMZ reported today that Bobby was denied parole following his board hearing this past week. It’s not clear why he wasn’t let out, however, what is known is that he’ll probably serve the rest of his sentence for the next year, at least until 2021.

Put simply, it appears as though Bobby will be behind bars for another year until December 2021. TMZ called attention to a number of the crimes Bobby has been involved in over the last 5 years, including drug possession, assault, and weapon possession.

Earlier in the year, the rapper’s mother came out to say that he was ready to drop new music if his parole hearing came with good news, but it looks like he won’t be releasing any new projects for the foreseeable future.

Ironically, fans believed Bobby would get out a few months back. In fact, amid news of his parole hearing, fans of the performing artist figured he would get out on the same day.

Bobby’s popularity has only intensified over the last few years and the plight of Tekashi 6ix9ine has multiplied that effect. For instance, Charlamagne Tha God recently came out to say that if Tekashi 6ix9ine was the example of what not to do, Bobby Shmurda deserved some kind of accolade or at least a ton of praise.

Unlike Tekashi 6ix9ine, Bobby refused to rat out his former contemporaries, and instead, chose to serve his time behind bars. 6ix9ine, née Daniel Hernandez, informed the feds on the crimes of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods as far as Hernandez was involved. He received a reduced sentence because of it.
