A Grammy nomination is one prestigious accolade.

And Beyoncé and Jay-Z's eldest daughter Blue Ivy, eight, is with the chance of picking up a gong after the Recording Academy announced her Destiny Child's star mum was in the running for best music video for Brown Skin Girl - which she is credited as a featured artist on.

Blue Ivy - who provides vocal in the opening and end of the hit song - wasn't originally on the nominee list but in recent days the Grammys updated its website and the youngster's moniker can be seen.

Joining Blue Ivy on the list, since it was tweaked, is singer Wizkid - who sings in the song and stars in the video.

American rapper SAINt JHN - who is featured on the track but who did not take part in the video - is not listed as a nominee.

Fans will find out if the little one has won the award at the 2021 Grammys which are set to take place January 31.

2020 has been a big year for Blue Ivy and she is already making money despite her young age.

Earlier this year, she bagged her first paid role in the entertainment industry as the very cute narrator of audiobook Hair Love.

Talented Blue has lent her vocal talent to bring the book - based on Matthew A Cherry's Oscar-winning short film - to life.

The story focuses on an African American dad who attempts to style his daughter's hair for the first time.

It was first published in May 2019 and features illustrations from Vashti Harrison.

As well as daughter Blue, Beyoncé and her husband Jay are also parents to twins Sir and Rumi, three.

Beyoncé recently spoke about how her parenting has changed amid the coronavirus lockdown.

The songstress told Vogue: "I have become a better listener. Blue is very smart, and she is aware that there is a shift, but it is my job as a parent to do my best to keep her world as positive and safe as can be for an 8-year-old."

She went on: "My best advice it to love [your children] harder than ever.

"I let my daughter know that she is never too young to contribute to changing the world. I never underestimate her thoughts and feelings, and I check in with her to understand how this is affecting her," said the Formation hitmaker.
