Benjamin Keough buried next to grandfather Elvis Presley at Graceland

Elvis Presley's tragic grandson Benjamin Keough has been laid to rest next to the King at his Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee after taking his own life in July

Benjamin Keough has been buried alongside his grandfather Elvis Presley at Graceland after taking his own life over the summer.

Lisa Marie Presley's son died in July aged 27 with a coroner confirmed his cause of death to be suicide.

He has now been laid to rest at the King's estate in Memphis, Tennessee alongside his grandfather and other members of the family.

The news was confirmed in a post on the official Graceland Facebook page.

The statement read: "Benjamin Storm Presley Keough was laid to rest in the Meditation Garden at Graceland with his family including his grandfather, Elvis Presley, great-grandmother Gladys Presley, great-grandfather, Vernon Presley and great-great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley."

Benjamin's death rocked the family this year, and after the tragedy, his model/actress sister Riley shared a heartbreaking tribute to her brother online.

She wrote: "Mornings are the hardest. I forget you’re gone. I can’t cry because of the fear that I will never stop. A pain that’s new to me.

"You. There are no words for you. Angel is the closest I could think of. Pure light. Baby brother. Best friend.

"Wild man. Intellectual. Witness to my life. Twin soul. Protector. Too sensitive for this harsh world.

"I hope you give me strength to endure the giant hole you’ve left in my heart. I hope you give me the strength to eat.

"I hope you’re cradled in love. I hope you feel my love. I hope you feel god. You are god. I can’t believe you’ve left me.

"Not you sweet Ben Ben. Anyone but you. I guess this is true heartbreak. I hope we meet again."

Benjamin and Riley were Lisa Marie Presley's children with her ex-husband Danny Keough.

Elvis was originally buried at Forest Hill Cemetery after his death in 1977, but his remains were moved to Graceland later after three men attempted to steal his body.

The King was relocated to the grounds of his former home, along with the remains of his mother, where they were laid to rest in the estate's Meditation Garden.

The family had initially wanted him to buried at Graceland, but had to opt for a cemetery as they did not have the necessary permits.

However, after the grave-robbing plot, Memphis officials granted permission for the King to be reburied at his former home.
