Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith has revealed she has received the coronavirus vaccination and assured her social media followers that the process was completely 'paintless.'
The Channel 4 star looked relaxed as she sat in the chair wearing a face mask as she was administered the injection in her right arm.
Posting a picture of the moment to Instagram, Prue, 80, took the opportunity to question those who are refusing to get the jab.
"Who wouldn't want immunity from #Covid19 with a painless jab??" she asked her followers.
Her update sparked a debate on her profile, as her fans shared their verdict on the Covid-19 vaccinations that are currently being offered to the people most at risk of the deadly virus.
The NHS are distributing the vaccinations first to those 80 years old and over who already have a hospital appointment in the next few weeks.
People who live or work in care homes are also on the priority list and other health care workers at high risk.
The vaccination will be offered more widely and at other locations 'as soon as possible', according to NHS guidelines.
In May, Prue made headlines for saying she would prefer a young person to be saved rather than someone of her age during the pandemic.
"If there’s a choice between a 20-year-old dying and an 80-year-old dying… it’s a no brainer," she said.
"I am quite philosophical. I’ve had quite a lucky life. I’ve had two happy marriages, two wonderful children. ‘If I was knocked over by a bus tomorrow, it would be a fair cop, I’ve had wonderful life and it would be ridiculous to expect it to go on like this forever."
Prue and her husband John Playfair moved in with each other for the first time in November - nine years after they tied the knot.
Before, that Prue and her hubby had taken the unusual step of living in separate houses one mile apart from each other in the Cotswolds.
Explaining the reasons why on BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour, Prue said she made the decision as she didn't want to be cleaning up after John all the time.
"He does all his ironing and he cleans his shoes there and he keeps all his gear there.
"And I tell you what, it's the ideal thing. What you want – and what I get – is him without his clobber and without the responsibility of looking after his laundry and sewing on his buttons."
