Ant McPartlin was reportedly mobbed by 50 excited I'm A Celebrity fans when he was spotted shopping near the show's new home in Wales.
In a break from his hectic filming schedule at Gwrych Castle, Ant is said to have called into local shop Aladin's Cave to browse the second-hand watches on offer.
The shopkeeper says the star, who is thought to earn around £130,000 a week, spent 20 minutes browsing the shop, which sells watches ranging from £15 to £50, before picking out a nice £15 time piece for himself, only to be forced to abandon it.
Keith Rowlands, who owns the shop, said that once people clocked Ant, 45, was in the shop, around 50 fans tried to barge their way through the doors to meet him.
Watch repairer Keith told The Sun : "It was bedlam. I wouldn’t want that many people trying to get in at any time, let alone when we’re supposed to be socially distancing in a pandemic.
"Ant was very good about it. He said he’d come back when it was quieter.
"He seemed very interested in the watches, but he had a good look at most of the items in here."
While Keith isn't a big TV fan, he said his wife was very excited when he told her Ant had been in his shop.
He reckons Ant was tipped off about his store by crew members working on the show who have been popping in to buy props to scatter around the castle.
Keith said he wife often spots items he had on sale in his shop around the castle while she's watching the show, but Keith is simply hoping Ant pops back to buy that £15 watch he was eyeing up.
Ant and his presenting partner Dec Donnelly were in stitches last night as they watched former EastEnders stars Shane Richie and Jessica Plummer take on Sickening Stalls, which they dubbed the funniest trial ever in the show's 20-year history.
The duo had to down six disgusting milkshakes each, made of everything from blended pig's vagina to vomit fruit and sheep's anus.
Mirror Online has contacted Ant's representatives for comment.
