Amber Heard ‘had pus oozing from scalp wounds’ after Johnny Depp ‘headbutt’

Amber Heard got emotional as she detailed the injuries she claims to have suffered in a fiery row with Johnny Depp at their Los Angeles penthouse - alleging she sustained two black eyes, a broken nose and had pus oozing from wounds on her scalp.

Heard, 34, is back at London's High Court for her second day giving evidence in Depp 's libel case against News Group Newspapers.

Depp, 57, is suing NGN over a story published in The Sun in 2018 which branded him a "wife beater" - a claim which he strenuously denies.

During today's questioning, Heard was asked about a heated row with the actor at their home in Los Angeles on December 15 in 2015.

Heard's voice cracked with emotion as she detailed the injuries she clams to have suffered in the argument.

She told the court she had "two black eyes, a broken nose and broken lip, bruises all over my body, bruises on my forearm.

"I think I had bruises on my chin, chunks of my hair were missing, pus was in the wounds on my hairline."

The actress claimed the "really bad [bruises]" were on her scalp and she had chunks of hair missing.

Eleanor Laws QC, for Depp asked if she had bitten her own lip, and Heard replied: "Of course not."

Ms Laws also asked Heard about her examination by a nurse two days after the alleged attack

The nurse noted she could not see many of the head injuries Heard claimed to have suffered but did spot she was bleeding from her lip.

Depp has previously admitted headbutting Heard during the row, but insisted it was an accident. He's denied being violent towards his wife during the argument.

It comes after Heard was asked about another row during the couple's trip to Australia in 2015.

She claimed Depp hurled 30 glass bottles at her in a rage before stubbing a cigarette out on his own cheek.

During yesterday's session, the court was shown CCTV footage of Heard talking with fellow actor James Franco in a lift, while she also denied cheating on Depp with tech mogul Elon Musk.

Heard addressed the poo that was left in Depp's bed that he claimed was the trigger for their divorce. She denied being responsible and said only the actor "would have found it funny".

During questioning, Heard also admitted hitting Depp in a bid to protect her sister during an argument - and claimed she'd heard a rumour he'd pushed his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss down the stairs.

Depp has denied he was ever violent towards his ex-wife and has accused her of abusing him during their marriage.

Lawyers for NGN are defending their case based on Heard's 14 allegations of abuse, which include claims of bust-ups between 2013 and 2016.

The actor has argued his ex-wife was abusive towards him during the marriage, which collapsed in 2016.
