Amber Gill has revealed that her Love Island contract was changed just days before she entered the sizzling Spanish villa.
The Geordie lass may have walked away with the winning title alongside her summer fling Greg O'Shea on the 2019 series - but things could have been a lot different for the 21-year-old.
Brunette bomhsell Amber has now dished the dirt on the iconic ITV reality dating show on Fleur East's her new podcast called The Reality of Reality TV.
According to the Love Island champion, she was initially meant to appear much later on in the series as a 'bombshell' and was never intended to be one of the five original girls.
Amber revealed that her contract was changed last minute, which meant that she was one of the first girls to strut into the villa alongside pals Amy Hart and Laura Anderson.
The reality TV star explained: "When I got called in the UK, they were, like, oh, we want you to be a bombshell… I was, like, no, I don't want to do that. They were, like, no, no, it's great, being a bombshell's great. You'll have such an impact on the show.
"Me personally, I'm not the type to steal someone's man or be really confident and going in and be, like, I like him, like that's just not me. But my Auntie was like, 'look, this opportunity isn't going to come around often. Just go'."
The stunner went on: "I went and then halfway through the lockdown in Spain, the execs all come in unannounced to my villa and are, like, right, we're going to change your contract around a little bit… we want you to go in as an original."
While she ultimately would have succumb to the idea of entering the villa as a bombshell, much like her former villa bestie Molly Mae Hague, Amber insisted that she would have been the worst bombshell in history.
Amber quipped: "Looking back now, I would have been the worst bombshell in history because I would have walked in and be like, 'no, I don't like any of these guys'."
During the candid chat about her whirlwind Love Island experience, Amber also explained why her return from Casa Amor is her favourite memory from the show - and it's all thanks to Caroline Flack.
After Amber returned from the infamous villa, she was devastated to see that her flame Michael Griffiths had betrayed her by coupling up with Joanna Chimonides while they were apart for a number of days.
Amber recalled former host Caroline squeezing her hand and supporting her during the tough reunion.
"A memory that I hold so close at the minute is that Caroline was obviously there. She was just holding me so tightly and I just felt calmer because I knew that she had me so tightly as well," Amber continued.
"I had her there and I felt like I'd got a bit of calmness and a bit of strength from her holding me so tightly.
"She was sort of radiating to me, like, you're going to be okay. So, I actually loved that, I love that memory so much now."
Amber and Greg won the summer series in 2019 after only being coupled up for 13 days.
However, just three weeks after departing the villa, Irish rugby star Greg decided to call time on their short-lived relationship after realising the pair led very different lives.
