Amanda Seyfried treated fans to a series of heartwarming snaps of her newborn son cuddling their family dog.

The mum-of-two, 34, secretly welcomed her baby boy with husband Thomas Sadoski, 44, in lockdown and announced the exciting news on social media this week.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the Mean Girls star snapped up a sweet pic of her baby boy sleeping on a bed next to their pooch Finn.

The adorable Australian shepherd snuggled up to the newborn, as Amanda penned: "OH S*** IT GETS CUTER. "JESUS, FINNY."

Amanda and Thomas are also proud parents to three-year-old daughter Nina.

And although the pair have not yet announced their baby boy's name, it's safe to say he's already feeling the love from all members of the family, especially Finn.

Amanda and Thomas announced on Monday evening that she had given birth to a baby boy, but had not revealed she was pregnant.

The pair announced their happy arrival through the social media pages for two charities they support, the International Network for Aid, Relief and Assistance and War Child USA.

As well as a sweet picture of their newborn, they shared a statement with the organisations.

The statement on War Child USA's page read: "We are so happy to join with INARA to be the first to announce that our ambassadors Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski welcomed their second child into this world."

They added: "Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives.

"With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star."

Amanda and Thomas married in 2017, around the time that she was close to giving birth to Nina.

Last year, the Mamma Mia star said she found it hard to plan another baby.

She told People: "If it happens to you, you just make it work. I want to get pregnant again, but I'm not ready just yet to have a second. I would like my daughter to be in school and then have my own time with a new baby. But it's so hard to plan."
