Amanda Holden has offered support to Chrissy Teigen after hearing about the tragic loss of her newborn son at 20 weeks through her pregnancy.

Model Chrissy and her singer husband John Legend were expecting a baby boy together, who was due in February 2021.

But the couple were hit with devastating news when their son, who they named Jack, had tragically died after Chrissy suffered with complications and a month of bleeding.

The Heart Breakfast presenter has also suffered the same kind of agony as she lost her stillborn son Theo at seven months pregnant in 2011.

Amanda shared a thoughtful comment to Chrissy in a bid to help the couple cope with their loss.

One of Chrissy's fans shared an uplifting comment to the star after she shared heartbreaking photos from the moment on Instagram.

"In Lebanese culture we believe babies like Jack are angels that God selectively chooses to watch over you. Sending you light," they wrote.

Amanda, who had been reading the comments, wrote back to Chrissy: "@joefahed that's how I dealt with my loss x."

Amanda, who shares two daughters with her husband Chris Hughes, has always been open and honest about the devastating loss of her son Theo in recent years.

The couple were heartbroken after learning about the news, with Amanda telling BBC's Dear NHS Superstars Special she was "absolutely terrified" during the ordeal.

She told viewers in July: "I remember waking up and thinking I hadn't felt my baby kick for most of the night, which was unusual because he was so active.

"I tried all the things they tell you to do, but he wasn't moving. But I didn't panic."

Worried something was wrong, Amanda went to Middlesex Hospital to see midwife and close pal Jackie.

"Luckily for us, an obstetrician was coming past and Jackie said to the obstetrician, 'Please can you go in, I can't hear the patient's baby's heartbeat', and then I heard this guttural screaming," she added.

Amanda said it was the most "bizarre" thing ever as she began making a screaming noise which she had "no control" over.

The terrified star continued: "I forgot entirely that I'd have to get the baby out and I'd have to give birth for our son."

The couple then met their son Theo after Amanda opted for a C-section as she couldn't go through with labour.

"The C-section was beyond horrific because at the end a little baby who has nothing wrong with him apart from being asleep is going to come out," she explained.

"I kept saying, 'I can't hold a dead baby', I was absolutely terrified. Just as the baby was going to come out my husband Chris had to leave the room, he couldn't bear it."

Amanda and Chris kept Theo's footprints and a "little bit of his hair" so they always have a part of him with them forever.
