It all started with a fan directly asking AOC for her opinion on the former One Direction star’s controversial outfit.
The Congresswoman was quick to answer on her Instagram, stressing that, not only is it ‘wonderful,’ it reminds her of the 1950s popular actor as well!
‘It looks wonderful. The masculine and feminine elements are really balanced beautifully – the hair and the jacket styling give me James Dean vibes too,’ she started her message by saying.
This comes after conservative pundit Candace Owens criticized Harry, lamenting that society is getting rid of ‘manly’ men, which, in her opinion, will soon lead to the end of human civilization!

But of course, AOC had a completely different opinion!
Her post went on: ‘Some people are mad at it bc some folks are really sensitive to examining and exploring gender roles. Perhaps for some people it provokes anger or insecurity around masculinity / femininity / etc. If it does, then maybe that is part of the point. Sit with that reaction and think about it, explore it, examine it, engage it, and just grow with it. What is the point of creating things if they do not make people think? Or feel or reflect? Especially as an artist? Who wants to see the same thing all the time?’
She concluded her message by saying it looks ‘bomb’ and fans of Harry and AOC alike, were super excited to see her defending him.
