Alison Hammond shows off rare photo of son Aiden and says he is ‘my world’

Television presenter Alison Hammond has shown off a rare photo of her son Aiden to her fans.

The fan-favourite from This Morning, 45, stood in her kitchen with her teenage son and looked at him adoringly for the snap.

Adoring mother Alison captioned the image, simply: “My world !!!”.

She wore a bright floral blouse with a low-cut black top, while Aiden donned a neon orange Adidas sports t-shirt.

The cute picture comes following a difficult year for single mum Alison.

The former Big Brother contestant struggled following the death of her biological father, Clifford Hammond, who passed away in Jamaica.

Due to safety restrictions amid lockdown for the coronavirus pandemic, Alison was unable to attend his funeral.

Over four months ago, Alison also lost her mother to liver and lung cancer.

She wrote on Instagram in February: “Yesterday my family and I celebrated her amazing life and laid her to rest in a beautiful ceremony she would have been proud of.

“Thank you mummy for giving me the strength to move forward in the knowledge that your ok and with God in Heaven now.

“I will always remember you and try and make you proud. I love you mum.”

Naturally, amid these tragedies, Alison has found her joy with her young son.

Back in May, she shared another rare glimpse of her boy in a very amusing TikTok video together.

The footage shows Alison dancing alongside Aiden to the song Laxed (Siren Beat) by Jawsh 685.

Alison captioned the post: “When you ask your son to do a TikTok and he’s just as enthusiastic as you …. #motherandson #foryour #viral #foryoupage #forever #love”.

Aiden definitely looked amused by his hyperactive mother’s antics.

Alison also wrote on the clip: “I actually think I’m in a West End show.”

However, when speaking on This Morning in June to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, Alison revealed her fears for Aiden as he lives in a world marred with systemic racism.

Discussing the death of George Floyd in America, Alison said: “Firstly, I’m a mother to a 15-year-old black boy, so when I saw that image of George Floyd I saw my brothers, I saw my father, I saw my son – I saw everybody’s son and I was disgusted to my core.”
