Little Mix ’s Perrie Edwards has been left in agony after tearing the base of her spine in a horrific injury.
The singer, 27, has revealed she’s also suffered a slipped disc and is “dying” every time she has to dance for a performance.
The injury has come at terrible timing for the girl band as they promote the release of their sixth album Confetti, which is due out next Friday.
The pop sensation revealed: “I recently found out I have a slipped disc and tear in the base of my back/spine and I die every time we dance. But it’s worth it.”
Her injury couldn’t have come at a worse time.
As well as promoting their new record, Perrie and her bandmates are due for primetime TV show performances on Saturday nights on their BBC1 show The Search and are hosting the MTV Europe Music Awards next weekend.
A music insider told The Sun Perrie is in agony but trying to keep going through the pain ahead of the much-anticipated album’s launch.
“Perrie is in pain with her back but she is soldiering on,” a source told the publication.
“It is a very uncomfortable injury to have but she’s not going to let anything put a stop to Little Mix’s mesmerising performances — not on their BBC1 show The Search nor the EMAs.
“For now, it’s business as usual and they are all eager to do the best performances of their career to showcase their new tracks.”
Little Mix’s latest album has garnered huge attention ahead of its drop.
The new tunes are set to be full of cryptic messages, as the girls take savage swipes at their exes and enemies.
They even take aim at music mogul Simon Cowell who they previously revealed “f**ked us over” after they split from his record label Syco in 2018.
Their tune Not A Pop Song suggests Simon and his team treated the incredible group like “puppets on a string”.
The girls were signed to the Syco record label for seven years after winning the X Factor – they are now signed with RCA.
