Stacey Solomon was forced to take down the homemade Halloween decorations she’d spent hours putting together after fans pointed out their chilling resemblance to the ghost from Netflix horror The Haunting of Bly Manor.

After the spooky coincidence was pointed out by fans, Stacey was left unable to sleep and fearing she was going to be ‘attacked in the night.’

Earlier in the day, the craft-loving mum decided to add to her Halloween collection by creating some ‘ghost garlands’ to adorn the walls of her house.

Using just some wool, cardboard and black eyes, Stacey set to work making the ghoulish wall hangings before proudly showing off the results on Instagram.

“A woolly, pretty Halloween decoration. Laughing so much!” Stacey told her followers as she unveiled her handiwork.

But moments later, the former I’m A Celeb winner was inundated with messages from followers pointing out her wool creatures bore a creepy resemblance to the voodoo doll in Netflix’s latest horror series.

“Oh god Stacey I’m freaking out. You obviously haven’t watching The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix!” one told her. “You’d be chucking these straight out of the window.”

A disturbed Stacey asked: “What have I made? Are they going to attack me in the night? Have I made some sort of freaky voodoo dolls?”

The star then decided to watch the spooky show herself to find more – despite being alone in the house – which she swiftly branded a ‘stupid idea.’

The Haunting Of Bly Manor follows on on from the Haunting of Hill House and is inspired by Henry James’ Gothic novel The Turn of the Screw.

Set in the late 1980s, the plot follows the story of a young nanny that has been hired to look after two orphaned children in a spooky mansion.

After watching just one episode, Stacey told her followers: “Scared myself. Took my ghosts down. Made Theo come to the toilet with me.”

She then added: “Had to sprint upstairs to get the second light on. Now I’m laying here pooing my pants. Well at least I don’t feel rage anymore just fear. Full fear.”

It’s not the first time Stacey’s decorations have had an unexpected response.

Last month, she revealed that she’d left the family home to stay at her sister’s after freaking herself out with her home
