Vogue icon Anna Wintour ‘splits’ from husband Shelby Bryan after almost 20 years

Anna Wintour has reportedly split from her husband of almost 20 years.

The Vogue icon is said to have separated from telecom millionaire Shelby Bryan, Page Six reports.

The site had previously reported that things had cooled off between the power couple lately and that they had not been seen together in public for some time.

Now, the publication says the relationship is over for good.

The cause of the split is not yet known.

There were rumours that Shelby had gone back to his ex-wife Katherine Bryan, whose husband Damon Mezzacappa, an investment banker, died in 2015.

But sources close to Katherine say she hasn’t taken him back and wouldn’t after he began an affair with famous editor-in-chief Anna in 1999.

“Katherine and Shelby have kids together [and] are friends. That’s all,” an insider said.

Anna was married to David Shaffer, who she shares two children with, when she first met Shelby, and it was claimed that he was the cause behind her 1999 divorce, but she declined to comment on the speculation.

Anna, 70, and Texas-born investor Shelby, 74, married in 2004 in a top secret ceremony.

Fashion icon Anna has a large circle of male friends, including actor Bill Nighy, who she was recently spotted at dinner with.

He has been quizzed about their relationship in the past, and in 2015 said: “I obviously have nothing to say about that. There are a lot of rumours about me and probably about Anna Wintour.”

Anna is said to have a net worth of around $35 million and Shelby has a sizeable fortune too.

They usually split their time between their $11.4m townhouse in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village and a sprawling home in the Hamptons.

Anna, who holds the keys to the famous Met Gala, has previously named a number of stars that she’ll never invite back.
